Even hCG Diet Companies Won't Say Their Products are Legal
Saturday, July 27, 2013
Occasionally I get images of actual hCG diet discussions online. Some of them I think are really worth sharing. In this discussion on Facebook, two posters are trying to get Omnitrition to say that there product is not illegal. Notice Omnitrition never says it is legal? They dance around the issue, point fingers at others selling this diet and generally ignore the question in general.----------------------------------------

Transcript of this image:
Poster #1: " How do you sell products with HCG in them if they were outlawed by the FDA? http://www.fda.gov/NewsEvents/Newsroom/Pre
ssAnnouncements/ucm282334.htm "
Response from Omnitrition International Inc.: "Hmmm, I guess no one has informed Walmart, CVS or the multitude of other retailers who carry these products, but thanks for your concern."
Poster #1: "So is it an illegal product and nobody cares or is it a legal product and I was misinformed?"
Response from Omnitrition International Inc.: "It is illegal when marketed to prevent, cure or treat a medical condition."
Poster #3: "It is illegal when marketed as a weight loss product."
Poster #3: " http://www.fda.gov/ForConsumers/ConsumerUp

Poster #3: " And people have died because of your crazy diet - a young woman recently had her heart give out and it was because of your crazy diet. How can you sleep at night? "

Please keep in mind, no matter what you think of the FDA. This diet is illegal for good reason.
I am heartened to know that there are people out there trying to get the word out about how dangerous this diet can be. In the last couple weeks alone, I've read about a young mom dying, been contacted by a former distributor who says she quit because she found out there were harmful hidden ingredients in the products and contacted by another young woman whose heart actually stopped while on this diet.
