Is the hCG Diet Preying on Your Church

I am just talking to so many people who have hCG stories. A common theme I'm finding is that distributors for this diet are preying on people in their churches.If you've been reading my blog, I've had a hard time understanding how any Christian could sell an illegal product (and scroll back through my blog, it is an illegal product). I've also had a hard time understanding how somebody selling this diet to you and can turn on you when you develop side effects. I saw so many distributors claiming to be Christian but they seem to act anything but when you develop problems from the diet. Now, that said, I also noticed the prosperity gospel seemed to be running rampant as well on the hCG page so, please, take 'Christian' with a grain of salt.
Still, I am hearing from people that distributors on this diet are targeting their churches as their primary prey. Why is this?
Did a search and came up and found somebody else had noticed that MLMs tend to target churches. Apparently it is a big problem:

We trust our fellow church members. That's what it comes down to and that is why people in churches are so easily deceived.
Interestingly enough, the gal who shunned me once I developed serious problems (a friend who became a distributor while we did the diet together) had the same "God's plan" spiel. God was going to help her get a lot of money through this diet. Clearly, she didn't care about what the diet did to people. It was about the money. However, since then, I've found she's shunned others who have problems with the diet. Worst of all, she's targeting her church. I suspect the majority of her customers are members of her church. The shunning comes about because people with side effects are bad for their bottom line. Once people in the church get wind that this is dangerous or illegal, they are going to lose their business. Where else can you find such an easy mark?
This is not a lone case. I'm hearing from others that are worried about their churches or family members' churches. You have church members who might be good people but I really think once these MLM companies get hold of them, you need to be on guard.
If your church has fallen prey, talk to your pastor. Share with him a bit about the dangers of this diet. Share with him a bit about MLM strategy. Share with him that this is illegal. Maybe you can prevent others from being devoured by wolves.

The Bible warns us of harsh treatment of our Bodies, self-boasting and that it will cause a rift in the church. I was curious And went on the pages asking questions about Ingredients and research and was spoken down to and my w Questions never were answered. So, I choose not to do it and have been shunned from people in the company at our church bc I made it Public that I chose not to do it and why. I am sorry for your health issues.
